The 10th annual Way Too Cool 50K takes place in December. WTC is the most popular 50K trail run in the U.S. and presents an ideal course for the first-time ultrarunner. WTC is the third event in the Montrail Ultra Cup Series.

- The event follows the Middle Fork of the American River Canyon using past and present sections of the Western States 100 course.
- 97 percent is run on single-track trails and dirt roads.
