The Brugg Aare-Island 24 Hour Race takes place in Switzerland usually in September. Organised by Fredi Büchler the event first took place in 2008. In 2020 a 48 hour as well as the 24 hour is being planned to celebrate the 13th edition and its hoped it will be something of a reunion for Trans Europe runners.
Course
The course is on the river island in Brugg. It is a circuit of 934.8 meters, sheltered by tall trees, features a grandstand, with parking spaces, tent sites, showers and toilets directly at the track.
