Land’s End to John O’Groats are the two ends of the mainland UK with Lands End situated in the south-west of Cornwall. John o' Groats is the traditionally acknowledged extreme northern point of mainland Scotland, in northeastern Caithness. The distance by road is 874 miles.
Running Records
The record time for a runner to complete the route, as reported by the Land's End John o' Groats Club, is nine days and two hours, by Andi Rivett.[11] In July 2008, Dan Driver became the first to run the route solo, meaning he carried all his equipment with him whilst he ran it. He completed the run in just over seventeen days. The Female World Record running from John O'Groats to Lands End, 840 Miles - is held by Mimi Anderson who completed the distance in 12 days 15 hrs and 46 minutes surpassing Sharon Gayter's record in July 2008.
