Organised by the Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners the Taipei 48 Hour Ultra Marathon first took place in 2011.

The event takes place at the Dream exhibition hall, Xin-shan park, Taipei on a 663 meter one lap, flat, asphalt surface, traffic free.
