This event has four separate races in it - Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB), Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix (CCC) and Traces of the Dukes of Savoy (TDS), Little Trotte to Leon (PTL).

Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB)
The distance varies between and in 2011 will be 166km, with a total elevation gain of around 8500m. The race is run in one leg that starts and finishes in Chamonx.
While the best runners complete the loop in slightly more than 20 hours, most runners take 30 to 45 hours to reach the finish line with the cut-off set at 46 hours.
Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix (CCC)
Founded in 2006 this event starts in Courmayeur and is 98 km, with approximately 5600 meters of elevation gain.
Traces of the Dukes of Savoy (TDS)
Also starts at Courmayeur - 110 km, 7100 meters of elevation gain
Little Trotte to Leon(PTL)
A more serious Challenge:
• Teams of three inseparable (or two) runners. • Course changes every year • Approximately 300 km and 25,000 meters dévivellé positive • Maximum time allowed: 138 hours • Depart Chamonix Monday, August 22, 2011 at 22:00 • 80 teams maximum
