Across the Years, Decades, Centuries, and Millennia 72, 48, and 24 Hour Run, Walk, Eat and Nap. Usually abbreviated to Across the years or ATY.
Course
The course is a certified loop around Nardini Manor. Made of crushed gravel and 500 metres in length.
History
Founded in 1983 by Harold Sieglaf who continues to run in the event, the event began with 6,12,24 hour races with the 6 and 12 hour races susequently dropped. The race has been held at various locations in and around Phoenix and has been hosted by the Arizona Road Racers on a number of occasions. The race has grown in popularity over the last few years to the extent that in 2005 the race was filled to capacity early and in 2006 was filled to capacity without being open to applications from the general community.
