Loutraki 7 day Race 2007 Update – Day 5

After 5 days of running, Wolfgang Schwerk has reached 814 km (505 miles) having set a new world record for 48 hours with 420 km, eclipsing the great Yiannis Kouros who ran 413 km at Across The Years in 2005. According to the site, Schwerk went 66 hours without sleeping.
Tanaka has moved into 2nd place ahead of Wright and Conny Bullig, leading lady. Race Director Costas Baxevanis who is running the race is at 600km for the 5 days.
