Everest Trail Race 2012

EVEREST TRAIL RACE
NOVEMBER 11 – 23  2012

After the success in the 2011 edition in which David Ruiz and Monica Aguilera were victorious, the Organization of the Everest Trail Race 2012 presents again this exceptional challenge of competing in what is undoubtedly one of the racing world’s most spectacular trails, specially designed for those who want to discover new horizons in the world of mountain racing.

For 2012, the Organization makes some changes in relation to the previous edition regarding path, giving an even more spectacular perspective. Everest and Lothse, with more than 8000 m. altitude, will test viewers, who would join such iconic mountains like Ama Dablam, Tamserku or Kangtega, and a large number of Himalayan giants.

The race, as in the previous edition, is divided into 6 stages, ranging from 20 to 32 km. to a total of about 165 km.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the event is not so much the distance as the accumulated altitude (positive and negative), which includes a total of 25600 m and rangesfrom 3100 m up to 5900 m in the period of greatest accumulation of drop. The Organization had in mind, like in 2011, the peak of the race, in order to avoid and minimize the possible problems arising from the high altitude, not exceeding in any case 4100 m.

Registration is now open via the web www.everesttrailrace.com test in which you can also find all the information about this exceptional challenge, or follow the daily preparations through its Facebook: www.facebook.com/EverestTrailRace
