Asprihanal Aalto yesterday won the Self-Transcendence 3100 mile race in Jamaica, Queens in New York for the 7th time out of 10 starts. Completing his journey in mid-afternoon Finland’s leading multiday runner continues to display outstanding courage, tenacity, determination in this, the longest certified footrace in the world.

Yesterdays results haven’t been posted as I write, however Galya Balatsky was scheduled to cover the remaining 70 miles by last night and Pranjal Milovnik will finish today.

Utpal Marshall writes a blog about the race called Perfection-Journey and he details, as much as can be conveyed, the life of the race including the staff and supporters who help make this event possible.
