Ashprihanal Pekka Aalto Wins Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race
Since last years Self-Transcendence 3100 mile race Ashprihanal Pekka Aalto won the San Francisco 24 hour race, set a new personal best of 505 miles in the Self-Transcendence 6 Day race in Flushing Meadow in May of this year and now has set another personal best by averaging over 70 miles a day for 43 days to win, by almost 3 days, the 2007 Self-Transcendence 3100 mile race – a feat that surely marks him as Finlands greatest ultrarunner.
