Giorgio Calcaterra Wins Winschoten 100KM World Championships 2011 – Results

The 2011 World and European 100 km Championships took place yesterday in Winschoten in the Netherlands. The mens event was won by Italian Giorgio Calcaterra in 6:27:32. Michael Wardian of the USA was second in 6:42:49.

In the womens 100 km event Marina Bychkova from Russia took top honours finishing in 7:27:19 ahead of Great Britain’s Joanna Zakrzewski who clocked 7:41:06.


In the 50 km Oskar de Kuijer from the Nederlands took first place in 3:13:04 and first woman was Anne-Marie Dupont from Belgium finishing  in 4:06:15 and seventh overall from 72 starters.
