Breast Cancer 3-Day Perfect Way to Get in Shape
60-mile, three-day walk complements health and fitness goals

JENKINTOWN, PA. – FEB. 15 – According to a November 2005 study in “Archives of Internal Medicine,” a moderate level of physical activity, such as walking 30 minutes a day, lengthened life by 1.3 years. Committing to an event such as the Breast Cancer 3-Day is a positive way to incorporate physical fitness into a daily routine and start on a path toward better health.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile, three-day walk that benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) Breast Cancer Fund. Breast Cancer 3-Day participants walk an average of 20 miles a day during each three-day event, raising awareness in communities and generating funds for research education and community outreach programs. Walkers train for months before the event, which allows participants to create an ongoing, structured workout regimen with a motivating goal: participation in the Breast Cancer 3-Day.
