After the passing earlier this year of the Vice-President of surgeres, Jean-Paul Bernard, Michel Landret the co-founder of the organisation has retired as has Treasurer Michael Whiting. The premier 48 hour ultramarathon in the world has set many records and most if not all the worlds best runners of the last 20 years or so have been invited to run at Surgeres.
A meeting will be held October 19th to ascertain the future of this race.
