The runners at the Sri Chinmoy Ten Day Race 2016 have entered their third day and distances between the leading men are increasing as Kobi Oren drives the pace. Madhupran Wolfgang Schwerk in 2007 was the last person to break 1000 km in a 6 day race and it would be an amazing step forward for the Israeli with a best of 818 set at the Capital Classic 6 days in 2015.

Ed Ettinghausen in second place, ran 100 miles this past weekend at the Running Dead Ultra in Senoia, GA and won the Beyond Limits 72 hour race in California which ended April 3rd with 270 miles. That’s not much of a taper.

3100 runner Ananda-Lahari Zuscin is still in touch with Achim Heukemes in third place and after 5th place the runners are still fairly close together.

In the womens race, things are closer with leader Sarah Barnett a lap or two in front of Manoshri Sykorova while sister Gautami is level with Natalia Hlushchuk being chased by the Walking Diva, Yolanda Holder in fourth place. Fifth lady is Canadienne Kimberley Van Delst who has some breathing space over Elena Kareva in 7th place.
