Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race Day 44

First Finisher

Yes we have the first finisher and he is from Finland. I arrived  back from Canada around 12:30 am, after about 6 hours of sleep I went out to the course to see Asprihanal complete 3100 miles. He ran the last lap holding a special flag made for the 3100 mile race, with a group of about 50 people cheering him on. There was a ceremony attended by race founder Sri Chinmoy who  Garlanded the runner and songs of congratulation were sung. After a short break to enjoy the proceedings the other runners continued with their journey, eager I am sure to reach the goal.

Asprihanal’s time I believe is 43 days 4 hours 26 minutes 17 seconds which is about 11 hours better than his time last year and a new personal best.
