The Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race 2015 – has reached Day 33. Ashprihanal Aalto has led the race from Day 1 and has averaged 76.7 miles a day and for the last two weeks has been setting course records everyday and is currently 31 miles ahead of where the current course record holder, Madhupran Wolfgang Schwerk was on his way to that record of 41:08:16:29 set in 2006. With 568 miles remaining at this current pace Ashprihanal has just over a week left.

In second place is Galya Vladimir Balatskyy who has now run 33 consecutive days of seventy miles or more. The previous record was 25 days. Despite this phenomenal performance Galya is still about 2 days behind the race leader.

Both women are also on course to finish as is first time runner Nirbhasa Magee. Stutisheel Lebedyev has slipped 8 miles under the cut off pace but will probably make up that lost ground over the next few days.
