Puna Inka Trail 2013

Puna Inka Trail 2013The Puna Inka Trail is a 200 km ultra-trail over 7 stages, in the North-western part of Argentina that will take place from the 12th to the 18th november 2013.

Inhabited for millennia by the Indian tribes Diaguitas and Kollas among others, the Argentine Northwest once formed the southern part of the Inca Empire, before they were defeated by the Conquistadores.
A land of traditions and cultures, arid territory where survival is an everyday struggle, a region whose inhabitants have managed to keep the sense of true values, contact with the immemorial gods and the Pachamama, their ancestral stories, and a very special folklore.
That’s this inhospitable terrain – the mountains and deserts of altitude, these populations of harsh life but soft heart, that you are invited to explore on the occasion of this unique trip to South America.
