The 2004 Sri Chinmoy Self- Transcendence3100 Mile Race
This years 3100 mile race began with real intensity as Ashprihanal Aalto and Madhupran Wolfgang Schwerk returned to do battle but by the 8th day, it was clear that Madhuprans injury was a real problem, but still was covering the miles. It wasn't until day 18 that Kauranga Michael Peel finally passed him and by this time Ashprihanal had set a personal best as a 1300 mile split having been disappointed in last years 1300 mile race in Flushing Meadow. But that p.b. came with a price that he carried to the end of the race. Fortunately his 150 mile cushion was sufficient.
