Merrill’s Mile 24/12 Hour Races 2012

merrills mile 24 hour raceThe inaugural Merrill’s Mile 24/12 Hour Races will take place September 1st-2nd, 2012 starting at 9 am at Camp Frank D. Merrill, Dahlonega, GA.
Organised by Willy Syndram, recent winner of the McNaughton 500 mile race, this is a sister race to the 24/12 Hours of Hostelity scheduled for January 19-20, 2013.

12hr:
Start time: 9am Saturday September 1st
Finish time: 9pm Saturday September 1st
Start time: 9pm Saturday September 1st
Finish time: 9am Sunday September 2nd

24hr::
Start time: 9am Saturday September 1st
Finish time: 9am Sunday September 2nd

Course Information
The course is a 12′ wide 1 mile crushed granite loop with approximately 10′ of elevation gain per loop. The race will be run in a clockwise direction for the duration.
There will be one fully stocked aid station at the start/finish line with plenty of typical race foods available all day (water, sports drink, gels, pretzels, bananas, oranges, PB&J). There will also be a second aid station with liquids only at the half way point.
