Karl Meltzer’s Appalachian Trail Speed Record Attempt 2008

Karl Meltzer is on day 26 of a planned 47 to set a new speed record on the North to South route of the 2,174 mile Appalchian Trail in the US.

Karl began his run on August 5th and after encountering shin problems on day 14, diagnosed as severe tendonitis, he has recovered and at the time of writing appears to be in fair shape.
