IAU World 24 Hour Championships, Seoul 2008 – Results

Ryoichi Sekiya of Japan has won the 24 Hour world Championships in Seoul.Sekiya finished with 272 km, 169 miles. Second place was Frenchman Fabien Hoblea with 266 km and third place was Japan’s Yuji Sakai with 263 km.

In the Womens race France swept the team event with a very strong field. Anne-Mare Vernet was first with 238 km, a victory by less than 400 m over Anne-Cecile Fontaine. Third place was Brigitte Bec with 229 km
