IAU TRAIL WORLD CHALLENGE
After the very successful 100 km World Cup in Winschoten it is time to turn the spotlights on our brand new major IAU competition, which is the Trail World Challenge.
As a result of the growing popularity of trail running in many countries, the IAU decided three years ago to form a Trail Commission in order to explore this totally new area for us.The task force, chaired by Nancy Hobbs, confirmed us the existing interest for a Trail World Challenge, advised us the 50 miles as preferred distance for this kind of event and suggested the Sunmart Texas Trail Endurance Runs 50 miles as an excellent potential venue for the inaugural edition.
