Its the las tnight and the weather turned this evening with cold rain and windy conditions in Flushing Meadow. There is almost always a wind blowing across the lake and the wind chill is probably in the lower 40's to the upper 30's. But that hasnt stopped the running. At 1:00 a.m. Danny Ripka was on 452 and Dipali was on 435 with Martin Wagen at 400. Rimas has had a knee problem for some time and has finally forced him to a slow run. Danny has been blasting around all evening after setting a new age group record Kaneenika Janakova and Fredericke Makowka have also been close in terms of miles and Kaneenika has an eight mile cushion. |
