Rob Young’s Transcon Attempt 2016 – Gary Cantrell’s Report in Ultrarunning Magazine

In what became the high point of activity on the Ultralist, Robert Young’s Transcon attempt this summer lit up the multiday running community as never before, culminating in a team of observers following Robert Young in what turned out to be the final week of the attempt.

Gary Cantrell is the RD of the Barkley Marathons and the 500 km non-stop road race across Tennessee – The Last Annual Vol-State Race amongst other ultramarathon events. Gary has written for Ultrarunning magazine for many years.
