Comrades Marathon 2011

Zimbabwean Stephen Muzhingi won the Comrades Marathon for the third time in a row in the 86th edition of this famous ultramarathon in Pietermaritzburg yesterday.

South Africans Fanie Matshipa and Claude Moshiywa finished second and third respectively.

The Russian twins dominated the Womens race again with Elena Nurgalieva, the defending champion, winning her sixth title in the women’s race ahead of sister Olesya Nurgalieva. US ultrarunner Kami Semick took third place.
