    Must grab the wi-fi when we can get it!The night I last wrote we had the most amazing storm in OK City as we were parked up at a 24 hour Wallmart. The van was blowing around and felt as if it was about to take off! We listened to the weather station at 2 a.m. waiting to see if it was recommended that every one goes to their storm shelters but it calmed a bit and all was well except the power was out for our area. 5a.m. (more…)

    At the end of April 2008, world-class endurance athletes and long-time friends Lisa Smith-Batchen and Louise Cooper will begin a record-breaking attempt to run across the United States.

    They will run from California to New York to fundraise for the creation of a network of Dreamchasers programs, including a school to aid and assist women and children in need. Although Religious Teachers Fillippini (RTF) is a Catholic organization, their mission of “go and teach”, helping and caring, encompassses all people, regardless of religion.

    Sue Johnston sets a new speed trek time on the John Muir Trail. Sue writes”3 days, 20 hours is my time from Whitney Portal to Happy Isle in Yosemite Valley. My time from the summit of Whitney, i.e. the official southern terminus of the JMT, was 3 days, 15 hours, 32 minutes.”

    Paula Radcliffe - AIMS/ASICS World Athlete of The Year

    Paula Radcliffe has been awarded the title of AIMS/ASICS World Athlete of The Year.

    Not really a multiday runner at the moment, but nevertheless a tremendous athlete and its great to see longer distance runners being acknowledged for their efforts.
