The Budapest Marathon Organisation is organising the second Balaton Supermarathon - a 4 day long ultra race with a total of 195,4 km that can be run individually, in pairs or in teams of 4 runners organised next time on 19-22 March 2009. (more…)

Self-sufficient runners have the choice of two distances: 220km or 100km, to be completed in stages - 220 km in 6 stages and 100 km in 4.

Running America is still moving across the U.S. at about 2.4mph.  Marshall Ulrich has recently completed about 1800 miles with 1200 or so miles to go.
The record attempt seems to be out of reach now with 80 miles per day needed for the remainder.  Charlie Engle moved from running shoes to the bike saddle after injuries cut his run short. (more…)
