    Dear everybody,
    This is jess, Kate’s youngest (and best…) daughter. I have been delegated the job to fill you all in on mums progress cos unsurprisingly i doubt she has much time to sit about and write emails. I spoke to mum on the phone just now and thought id let you all know a few details of her first few days. Chicago was apparently an absolutely stunning city with incredible skyscrapers and some beautiful buildings.     A couple of us are running Cincinnati - Columbus - Cleveland May 11  through May 17.
    About 256 miles, unaided. We’re staying at motels and inns each  night: beer, HBO and hot showers!

    Martin Illot To Complete Run Across America

    Martin Illot is scheduled to complete his record breaking solo trek across the United States on Monday 11th of June according to is website. Martin started his quest to be the first Brit to solo the US on March 30th this year.

    Catra Corbett on the PCT

    Catra is making an attempt on the PCT record which is 78 days for men and 91 for women. In with a shot at both, Catra started the journey with a Frenchman Julien, on May 24th, who Catra affectionately calls “SB” and who unfortunately sustained an injury after only a few days and who was forced to abandon the adventure.     Scott Giddings Forced to Postpone Nebraska Landmark Run

    Ultra-runner Scott Giddings was forced to postpone his 480-mile “Nebraska Landmark Run” just under the halfway mark due to pain. Giddings was attempting to run across the state to support Girls and Boys Town in Omaha.
    Giddings stopped his run last Sunday just before reaching Gothenburg, completing 232 miles of the 480-mile run. He said things started to go downhill after he reached Paxton as a pain developed in his lower left leg. (more…)
