Hello all,
My name is David Lee, and I am looking into the feasibility (and desirability) of a 6/12/24hr event in Morganton, NC. It would be scheduled to begin at 8:00am December 31st and, at least for the 24hr folks, would finish on New Year’s Day.
The course is a closed one-mile loop in a local park. The surface is asphalt, and varies in elevation from about 1,040ft to about 1,066ft. If you’re curious to see the park, you can find it on Google Earth at
35D44′47.95″ N, 81D43′05.80″ W.
I’ve not used this forum before, and I am not even sure how many relatively local ultrarunners subscribe. Nevertheless, I’ll pose the question anyway: if we build it, will they come?
